TNF: Saints vs Falcons Game Thread

Thursday Night Football, Week 14. In a NFC South showdown the 9-3 New Orleans Saints travel to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia to take on the 7-5 Atlanta Falcons.

The defending NFC champion Falcons are coming off a hard fought loss to the NFC leading Minnesota Vikings. Prior to the Falcons' loss last week they had won four of five and seemed to be regaining their form just in time for a playoff run. Now at 7-5 the Falcons are on the outside looking in, 7th in a six team playoff slate, and a loss tonight would do serious damage to their remaining playoff hopes. Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and company hope to avoid that fate at home against the Saints.

The Saints come into the game on a tremendous roll, winners of nine of their last ten games. The Saints lead the NFC South by a game over the Carolina Panthers, and a win tonight would go a long way towards securing a playoff berth. Drew Brees, rookie running back sensation Alvin Kamara, and sophomore wide receiver Michael Thomas are joined by a suddenly fierce Saints defense, making for a formidable and well balanced football team. The Saints have not been to the playoffs since 2013, but that appears to be about to change, as the Saints gear up for a possible Super Bowl run.

It's the Saints and the Falcons in a great Thursday Night NFC South showdown with major playoff implications.

Enjoy the game everybody. As always we ask that you neither ask for nor post illegal streaming links.
