The Jets improved their record to 5-7 with a wild 38-31 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs today at the Meadowlands.
Today’s game reversed the formula for most Jets games in 2017. They got off to a dreadful start, falling behind 14-0 in the first five minutes.
A team then melted down in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t the Jets. The Chiefs allowed the Jets nine attempts from inside the five yard line on a critical drive and two chances at a two point conversion due to penalties.
When you hear about a Josh McCown-Alex Smith quarterback matchup, you might not expect a shootout, but that was what we got today. The Jets were shredded by the deep ball consistently in the secondary, but the offense always had an answer.
We will discuss the game more tonight. Celebrate and try to process everything that happened in this wild game below.
