Four Jets starters sat out practice on Thursday (five if you include Matt Forte).
The back injury that forced Leonard Williams to leave the Week 16 game against the Chargers continues to be an issue. He still has not practiced this week. Neither has Brandon Shell, who left the Los Angeles game with a concussion suffered on the final play of the half. Nor have Jermaine Kearse (knee injury) or Austin Seferian-Jenkins (rib and foot injuries) (or Forte with a knee injury).
On the plus side for the Jets, Morris Claiborne and Robby Anderson returned to practice on Thursday, albeit in limited fashion, after sitting out Wednesday. Jordan Jenkins was limited for a second straight day.
Rex Burkhead, Mike Gillislee, and Alan Branch are the Patriots who have yet to practice this week due to injury.
The full injury report from Thursday for the Week 17 game between the Jets and the Patriots is posted below.
