2019 QB Prospects...Because Why Not

What are the chances we're in the same exact position next year, talking about the draft and which quarterback we should take? Pretty good I'd say. Granted, this all relies on us not signing a top FA and not drafting a QB in the top 2 rounds, and instead going through another year of the Petty/Hack experiment. But hey, we're the New York Jets, and anything can happen...especially that.

It's never too late to look even further into the future at the 2019 QB's (I'm also bored and it's not like we have any playoff scenarios to talk about anyways). In my opinion, these are the top 5 guys for next year's draft:

Jacob Eason (Georgia)

Deondre Francois (Florida State)

Nick Fitzgerald (Miss. State)

Kelly Bryant (Clemson)

Clayton Thorson (Northwestern)

Each one of these guys comes with a question mark. Eason is coming off an injury and we don't know what school he'll be at next year. Francois is also coming off an injury, and will have a brand new coaching system next year. Fitzgerald (surprisingly) is also coming off an injury. Bryant has played well so far, but we'll see how he does against Bama, and if he loses his job next year in favor of Trevor Lawrence. And Thorson, who had a lot going for him in this year's draft, chose to go back to school for another year and can risk potential injury or slump year.

I think each of these guys has the potential to be an NFL starter, with Eason and Francois having the ability to be franchise cornerstones, if they can become healthy. What do you guys think?
