NY Jets: Taking Stock

NFL: Los Angeles Chargers at New York Jets Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The season ends this week for the Jets. New York has a trip to New England. The rival Patriots will be in the postseason, and this game has plenty of meaning for them. New England can clinch the top seed in the AFC Playoffs with a win. Meanwhile the Jets are just hoping to get to 6-10, which would give them one more win in 2017 than they had in 2016.

The focus for the Jets is more on the future than the present. That makes it a good time to take stock in where the team currently stands. The Jets aren't totally lacking in young talent, but the inventory shows this is a team still very much in the beginning stages of a rebuild. This is not a team anywhere close to contending. There are lots of holes to fill, and they exist at all of the important positions.

Tune in to hear where the Jets currently stand.
