Final Score: Chargers 14, Jets 7

The New York Jets dropped another game today, this one by the score of 14-7 to the Los Angeles Chargers.

When you run the ball for 190+ yards and hold the opponents to 14 points on the day, you’re supposed to win the game. Unfortunately for the Jets quarterback Bryce Petty didn’t get the memo. Petty put on an utterly horrific performance. His final stats of 14 completions on 25 attempts for 114 yards, three sacks, an interception and a 47.5 passer rating do not begin to tell the tale of just how poorly Petty played. His mechanics were a mess, his accuracy was awful, and in a game the Jets never trailed by more than seven points, Petty’s ineptitude made it feel like the Jets at no point had a legitimate chance to win. A brilliant performance by Bilal Powell was unfortunately wasted in the loss.

For those looking to improve draft position, consider this game your Christmas gift, from Bryce Petty to you, with love.

Mourn or celebrate below, depending on your disposition. We’ll have the game recap up later this evening.
