If you’re still watching this game on Christmas Eve, kudos, and here’s your reward: a shiny new second half thread! Joy to the world, the thread has come, let all record their thoughts!
The Jets defense played well for most of the first half, until Philip Rivers and the Chargers put together a touchdown drive by alternately picking on Buster Skrine and Jamal Adams on the ground and in the air.
The Jets offense apparently stayed home for Christmas Eve, as they were nowhere to be found on the field. Quarterback Bryce Petty passed the ball high, low, wide left, wide right, anywhere but at the intended receiver. Petty has seemingly regressed this year; his mechanics and accuracy are a mess. The running game couldn’t get anything going other than one big run by Bilal Powell.
On special teams Lac Edwards did an excellent job in the punting game, and the Jets did a nice job surprising the Chargers with an onsides kick to open the game, but the Jets did nothing to capitalize.
The Jets will get the ball to open the second half, trailing 7-0.
Leave your thoughts below.
