The Jets are currently in the top ten in the 2018 NFL Draft. If the season ended today, New York would be picking tenth in the first round of this spring’s Draft. The loss on Sunday to the Saints combined with the other action moved the Jets up a bit.
In theory, the Jets could still climb quite a bit if they lose out and things break correctly. Looking at the teams ahead of them in the Draft order, the Jets are currently tied with Denver and Cincinnati in the standings, only a half game ahead of Tampa Bay, and only a full game ahead of Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco. It is possible albeit unlikely that the Jets could climb all the way to the fourth selection over the next two weeks.
One team to watch might be the San Francisco 49ers who are red hot with Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback.
