The Jets were officially eliminated from postseason contention on Sunday in a 31-19 Week 15 loss to the Saints in New Orleans. New York entered the game in need of a miracle to make the Playoffs. That miracle would have to start with winning out, which did not happen. As a result, the Jets will be watching the Playoffs on TV for a seventh straight year.
For what it is worth, the Jets are 11th in the current AFC standings.
The full up to date AFC standings are below. There was movement at the top. New England’s controversial win over the Steelers has the Patriots as the new top team in the conference and two wins away from clinching the top seed and homefield advantage through the AFC Playoffs.
