The Jets trail the Saints 17-10 at halftime at the Superdome.
This game doesn’t really have the feel of a close game. The Saints have been in control from the start. New Orleans scored on its first three possessions, and only a missed call prevented the Saints from having three touchdowns on their first three drives.
The Jets have been opportunistic to stick around, though. A physical touchdown drive where the Jets ran it down the Saints’ throats got New York on the board. The Jets added a field goal right before the half coming set up by a Leonard Williams interception.
The Jets actually will have a chance to tie the game up as they receive the second half kickoff. They will need much better quarterback play in the second half, though. Bryce Petty was only 7 of 14 for 46 yards in the first half.
