The Jets enter the final quarter of their season today with a game in Denver against the struggling Broncos. The last time the Jets traveled to this stadium the year was 2011, and they left with a ludicrous 17-13 loss on a Thursday night game in November. Today they hope for a better outcome.
That will likely be necessary for the team to keep its outside shot at a Playoff berth alive. Last week's victory over the Chiefs kept the Jets alive in the postseason race but only barely. New York is only 5-7 this season and has to jump a lot of teams in December to qualify for the first time since 2010. A Broncos win today will likely leave the Jets looking at a seventh straight year out of the Playoffs and playing for pride over the last three weeks of the season.
