The Jets play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this coming Sunday. The Bucs passing game took a double hit today. The team announced quarterback Jameis Winston will be shut down.
#Bucs coach Dirk Koetter says he is shutting down QB Jameis Winston for several weeks while his throwing shoulder heals. Fitz it is.

Winston has been banged up. In what is looking like a lost season for the Bucs, the team has decided to let him heal.
That means old friend Ryan Fitzpatrick is in line to start Sunday for the Bucs against his former team.
Fitzpatrick might be dealing with a shorthanded group of receivers as Mike Evans has been suspended one game by the league due to an incident yesterday.
Bucs WR Mike Evans suspended one game for violations of unnecessary roughness. He can appeal.

Evans has three days to appeal the suspension. It is unclear at this time how that will impact his availability for Sunday’s game if it will at all.
Either way, the news today is not good for Tampa Bay’s passing game. The Jets will face a less difficult test than it seemed when the schedule first came out.
