Happy Thanksgiving everyone. The NFL has a full slate of Thanksgiving Day games today so that you can work off that enormous feast by sitting semi-comatose in front of the TV for 12 hours or so.

The early game starts at 12:30 today and features the Minnesota Vikings against the Detroit Lions in a NFC North showdown. These two teams are both serious playoff contenders this year, and the Vikings are in the running for a first week playoff bye. At 4:30 pm we have the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Chargers squaring off in a battle of fringe playoff contenders trying to keep their playoff dreams alive. The Thursday Night Football matchup features the New York Giants against the Washington Redskins in an uninspiring battle of NFC East also rans. Jets fans should nonetheless be interested in the Thursday Night game, as every additional Giants win makes it that much easier for the Jets to trade up for a top QB in the 2018 draft, should they so desire.

Enjoy the games everybody. Leave your Thanksgiving Day games thoughts below.
