Thoughts on Kacy Rodgers, Quarterbacks, and Cornerbacks

NFL: New York Jets-OTA Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

With the Jets beginning their bye week, things have quieted down a bit around the team. There still was some news to follow, and we discuss it on today’s podcast.

Multiple reports on Monday indicated a member of the Jets coaching staff is under consideration for a major college coaching job. The University of Tennessee is looking for a new head coach, and Jets defensive coordinator played there in college. Stories indicated he is under consideration for the gig. I am skeptical Kacy Rodgers is a major contender for the job, and I discuss why.

Todd Bowles also spoke to the press on Monday. He discussed issues such as the state of the quarterback position, the team’s bye week schedule, and the status of a couple of cornerbacks on the team.

As always, you can listen to the show with the player embedded at the bottom of the post or by subscribing to Locked on Jets.
