The Jets announced Matt Forte will miss the team’s Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Todd Bowles indicated the veteran running back was dealing with the same knee injury that he struggled with a year ago. Given the struggles Forte had being productive trying to play through the injury last year, it probably is for the Jets that the Jets shut him down.
Elijah McGuire figures to get more touches in Forte’s absence. That might not be a bad thing considering how explosive the rookie looked last week.
Morris Claiborne, Brian Winters, and Muhammad Wilkerson are all questionable for this game. Winters and Claiborne were limited in practice on Thursday and Friday while Wilkerson did not practice. Of course, Wilkerson has not practiced for the past month and has still suited up each week.
The full injury report for Sunday’s game is posted below. It is the final injury report for the week.
