The Jets are 3-2 and riding a three game winning streak after defeating the Cleveland Browns today 17-14 in Cleveland.
After dominating a game two weeks ago against Miami and controlling large portions of last week’s game against Jacksonville, the Jets found a good opponent to have a bit of a letdown. This was hardly an inspiring effort, but a win is a win. Sometimes you just need to run into the right opponent, and that is what the Jets did today.
There aren’t many games you win when you are outgained by 200 yards. You don’t win many games when you only put together 212 yards of offense.
There aren’t many games where the opposition misses two field goals or commits two relatively unforced turnovers in the red zone. There also aren’t many games where your kicker nails a 57 yard field goal.
But the Jets did score more points than the Browns. They will need to play a lot better going forward, but for today that is enough.
Celebrate below. The official recap will be up later.
