According to multiple reports Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley is expected to be suspended by the NFL for violating league policy. The exact nature of the violations and the length and start date of the expected suspension are unknown at this time.
Kerley got off to a decent start in his return to the Jets this year, but has tailed off in his production in recent weeks. Over his last three games Kerley has only five receptions for 85 yards. At the halfway point of the season Kerley has amassed a total of 22 receptions for 217 yards and one touchdown.
When the Jets signed Jeremy Kerley many questioned whether it made sense to give him snaps over the two rookie wide receivers on the roster. It now appears that one or both of ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen will be given their opportunities to make their marks in the NFL.
