AFC East Roundup: Week 8

Let’s take a look at how the rest of the AFC East fared in Week 8.

The Dolphins drew the Thursday Night game coming off their victory over the Jets. It did not go very well. Miami was humiliated by the Ravens 40-0 in Baltimore. The Ravens only threw for 121 yards, but they didn’t need to do more. Things really got out of hand in the fourth quarter as the Ravens scored two touchdowns on interceptions and recovered an offensive fumble in the end zone.

The Bills blew out the Raiders 34-14 in Buffalo. LeSean McCoy had 151 yards on the ground for the Bills who held Oakland to 54 rushing yards. After Oakland scored the first touchdown of the game, the Bills put 24 unanswered on the board to take control of the game.

In Foxborough, the Patriots beat the Chargers 21-13. Tom Brady was 32 of 47 for 333 yards. The Los Angeles offense was largely held in check after a Melvin Gordon 87 yard run opened the scoring. The Pats were aided by a safety which incredibly happened on a punt return the Chargers fielded at the 8 yard line.

Next week the Bills visit the Jets on Thursday Night Football, the Dolphins host the Raiders on Sunday Night Football, and the Patriots have their bye.

  1. New England 6-2
  2. Buffalo 5-2
  3. Miami 4-3
  4. Jets 3-5
