TNF: Ravens vs Dolphins Game Thread

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday Night Football, Week 8. The 4-2 Miami Dolphins travel to M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland to take on the struggling 3-4 Baltimore Ravens in another uninspiring Thursday Night game.

The Dolphins are a bad 4-2 team. They have the worst offense in the NFL. They have exceeded 20 points once all year. They have a good run defense, an OK pass defense, the league's worst offense, and somehow the Dolphins have managed to weave that putrid straw into 4-2 gold. Go figure.

The Dolphins feature running back Jay Ajayi, having a rather pedestrian season with a 3.5 yards per carry average, on offense, and mix in passes to Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills. On defense they are led by defensive linemen Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake.

The Ravens have been hit hard by the injury bug in 2017. They have 13 players on injured reserve, and another six are listed as out or doubtful for this game. It's difficult to compete with so many injuries, and the Ravens have not competed well. They are losers of four of their last five games, their only win coming against the Oakland Raiders playing without their star quarterback Derek Carr. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has struggled mightily this year, looking like one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL. The Ravens have one of the worst passing offenses and running defenses in the NFL. One thing the Ravens have done well this season is create turnovers on defense. The Ravens secondary has combined for eight interceptions already this year. Unfortunately the Ravens offense has given the ball back at a similar pace.

This really shapes up to be a pretty terrible football game. Ah well, they can't all be great games.

It's the Dolphins against the Ravens in an AFC matchup that probably won't excite too many fans outside the Miami and Baltimore metropolitan areas.

Enjoy the game everybody. As always we ask that you neither ask for nor post illegal streaming links.
