Monday Night Football, Week 7. Tonight the Washington Redskins travel to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take on their NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, in the City of Brotherly Love.
The Redskins come into this game with a 3-2 record, in sole possession of second place in the division and looking for revenge for a 30-17 pasting they took at the hands of the Eagles on opening day. Washington is led, for the moment, by soon to be free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins, having another productive year with nine touchdowns and only two interceptions and a 106 passer rating. Cousins is spreading the ball around this year, with six different targets having 120+ yards receiving. His most dynamic weapon has been running back Chris Thompson, who is averaging more than 100 yards per game from scrimmage and has scored four touchdowns. The Redskins defense has done a nice job holding opposing quarterbacks in check, limiting them to just six touchdowns and picking off five passes.
The Philadelphia Eagles come into the game sporting sole possession of the best record in the NFL, and they aim to keep things that way. The Eagles are led by emerging star quarterback Carson Wentz, who is well on his way to a Pro Bowl nod, having already thrown 13 touchdown passes with just three interceptions. Wentz's favorite targets have been tight end Zach Ertz and wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor, who have combined for 10 touchdowns and more than 1000 yards receiving. The Eagles come into the game with the NFL's #1 rushing defense, having yielded more than 80 yards rushing in just one game this year. The Eagles defense has also generated turnovers in bunches, with 11 already this year.
It's the Redskins and the Eagles in a NFC East showdown on Monday Night.
Enjoy the game everybody. As always we ask that you neither ask for nor post illegal streaming links.
