Jets Week 7 Anti-Game Ball: Buster Skrine

When the Jets lose, we give out an anti-game ball.

As a general rule, we try to avoid giving the anti-game ball to repeat winners and/or the quarterback whenever possible. If you could give an anti-game ball to one throw, Josh McCown’s interception would probably be this week’s recipient, but that isn’t how these things work. McCown had a lot of positives to go with that miserable interception.

Instead, Buster Skrine takes the dubious distinction. It is well-earned. Pro Football Focus charted Skrine allowing 7 catches for 119 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was also flagged thrice in the game. This was an astonishingly poor performance. The Dolphins kept going after Skrine and with good reason. Good things happened whenever they targeted him. After stringing together two really good games in a row, Skrine fell back to earth on Sunday in a big way.

Buster Skrine gets my anti-game ball in Week 7. Who gets yours?
