Jets-Patriots Defensive Snap Totals: Jets Mix and Match on Defense

The Jets spread their snaps around on Sunday. Twenty different Jets defenders got at least one snap on that side of the ball as the coaching staff mixed and matched against Tom Brady. Bruce Carter was the straggler playing only one snap.

Kony Ealy’s play continues to transcend his snap total. He made an impact without getting a ton of playing time. Once again, he only saw around half the snaps, playing 36. It is worth watching whether he starts getting more playing time. We are now past the initial stage of the season, and the coaching staff can reallocate playing time based on the quality of play from the first six weeks.

Demario Davis, Jamal Adams, and Darron Lee were the three Jets defenders to play every snap in Week 5. Morris Claiborne only sat out a single snap, while Marcus Maye was on the bench for only two. Buster Skrine played every snap but six.
