The Jets made a number of notable changes to their coaching staff last week, and they made a number of notable nonmoves. One coordinator is gone. The other is still around. Many are asking why he is still around, however. The coaching staff changes are the topic of today's podcast.
I don't have answers right now as to whether the Jets made the right decisions. We will partially find out once the positions are all filled, namely offensive coordinator. Really, though, we will only know whether the Jets made the right moves after we see the new crew in action during the 2017 season. What I can do right now is offer some thoughts into what the team might have been thinking and some thoughts about where they should turn their attention to fill some of the remaining important vacancies on the staff.
