Early Thoughts About the Jets Hiring John Morton

After the position was vacant for close to a month, it sounds like the Jets finally have an offensive coordinator. Reports from Sunday indicate Saints wide receivers coach John Morton will take the job. We will talk about it on today's podcast.

To be sure, there are more questions than answers when it comes to Morton. I'm not sure anybody can tell you how good of a coordinator he will be. He has only brief coordinator experience on the college level. With that said, I am cautiously positive about this hire. On paper at least he fits the profile of the type of coach I was hoping the Jets would look after. On today's show we will talk about his pedigree and ways it might impact his performance. This is a discussion that is really only beginning.
