Over the last two days, a number of Jets have cited issues within the locker room during the lost 2016 season. Quincy Enunwa spoke about it today as the Jets cleaned out their lockers.

On Monday, a day after the Jets' season ended, wide receiver Quincy Enunwa reflected on how the locker room discord impacted this team.

"It didn't help us," he said. "You look at our record, and it really hindered our play."

Enunwa said it was difficult for him, at times, to maintain his focus because of the Jets' problems.

"It can be," he said. "A big reason for that is when you see the bad things that are going on, you kind of feel like you almost lose your purpose. You go into the season and you don't want to play for self. You want to play for team. But when team doesn't feel like a team, then you've got to start playing for self."

The more that comes out, the more it becomes clear that fixing this team will go beyond merely improving the talent level. It reads like the coaching staff lost control of the situation this season, and things snowballed.
