The Jets are looking for an offensive coordinator, but candidates have been difficult to come by in the week plus since Chan Gailey “retired.” The team asked permission from the Eagles to interview quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo but was denied. We finally have a candidate, Broncos running backs coach Eric Studesville.

Studesville has been with Denver since 2010 and survived a pair of coaching changes. He served as interim head coach of Denver near the end of the 2010 season after the Broncos fired Josh McDaniels.
Prior to that, Studesville had stops with the Bills, Bears, and Giants.
It isn’t clear how much interest the Jets have in him. For the first time in a week, the team now has a candidate for the job. I’m just not sure why it took so long to decide to interview him. It isn’t like he has been unavailable. The Broncos aren’t in the Playoffs.
