North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky announced on Monday that he will enter the 2017 NFL Draft. Trubisky is considered a high first round prospect. There are rumblings he could be an option for the Jets at 6. There are rumblings he might not even make it to the Jets. Should they have interest? Should they have concern about his lack of experience? Should they even entertain the thought of drafting a quarterback with a couple of young guys already on the roster? These are topics we discuss on today's podcast.
I'll tell you why I think ruling out drafting a quarterback is a tad misguided, but I'll mention one big concern I have about Trubisky and wonder aloud why the NFL doesn't give inexperienced prospects more of a platform to develop their skills.
