New York Jets 2016 Final 53 Man Roster

Cut day is always difficult. There are a lot of players who got cut today who will need to go and find themselves a new job. Some in football, but a lot outside football as well.

The Jets made a couple of bold moves. They cut ties with former first round selection Dee Milliner and former second round selection Jace Amaro. The debate as to whether that was the right decision will rage on, but a huge congratulations go to those players who made the team.

Robby Anderson had himself a superb pre-season and expectations will only grow for him. Jalin Marshall was extremely inconsistent, and many consider him lucky to be chosen ahead of Jeremy Ross who flashed as a returner this pre-season.

The Jets have also chosen to start the year with four quarterbacks. The Redskins and Vikings were the last teams to do this, when they started the 2013 season with four quarterbacks.

It may look as though we only have two tight ends, but Quincy Enunwa is a hybrid tight end/ wide receiver. We saw last year how frequently he was used in comparison to the more traditional tight end. Charone Peake also makes the roster after showing very little in the pre-season, but potential and what we didn't see was obviously enough.

Obviously with all the cuts happening around the league, the Jets can make claims and pick players up. However as of this minute, here are your 2016 New York Jets.
