With rookie return man Jalin Marshall out for a while with a torn labrum, the Jets brought back the guy he beat out in training camp and the preseason for the return job.
We have signed WR Jeremy Ross and placed DL Lawrence Thomas on IR.

That is a tough break for Thomas, an undrafted rookie, who earned a spot and played well when he got extended work in Week 1.
I said Marshall beat out Ross in training camp and the preseason, but beat out was being used loosely. Ross outperformed Marshall by many measures in camp. The coaching staff seemed to become enamored with Marshall early in camp, however, so Ross was sent packing.
The veteran is not necessarily a lock to be the primary return man Sunday against Seattle, though.
Jeremy Ross, Robby Anderson returning punts today. #Jets
