Last year, I came up with the idea of compiling "run sacks" for players. On a passing play, defenders are credited with a sack if they tackle the quarterback for either no gain or a loss. Why not look at the numbers when defenders do this on run plays? Pro Football Reference's play index makes it easy to do.
