The Jets fell to 1-2 today with a brutal 24-3 loss to the Chiefs. The defense put the team in an early hole. A Jalin Marshall fumble on a kickoff dug it even deeper.
At the end of the day, the only story is the horrific performance of Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Jets had numerous opportunities to get back into the game in the second half, but their quarterback would not let them. Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions in this game.
I said it many times in the Mark Sanchez Era. I said it many times in the Geno Smith Era. This might be the first time I am saying it in the Ryan Fitzpatrick Era (although Week 17 last year might also be in this category). It didn't matter what the rest of the team did in this game. You just can't win with that kind of quarterback play.
The last two weeks are Fitzpatrick in a nutshell. You have some great highs and terrible lows.
