NFL Week 3 Early Afternoon Games Open Thread

The Jets are in the late afternoon timeslot today so we have a wait to watch the game we really care about. In the meantime, there is a slate of early games to keep up occupied.

The most interesting game of the early afternoon window is probably Cincinnati hosting Denver in a matchup of division winners from a year ago. It is a rematch of a late season Monday Night game that saw the Broncos score a comeback win. It ultimately put Denver on a path to get homefield advantage throughout the AFC Playoffs and knocked the Bengals off the path of a first round bye. The Broncos won the Super Bowl as the top seed in the conference, while the Bengals were sent home in the first round. Had that game last year turned out differently, we might remember 2015 differently.

Other early games include Rex Ryan’s Bills in a desperate situation hosting Arizona, the Giants hosting Washington, Carolina hosting Minnesota, Green Bay hosting Detroit, Jacksonville hosting Baltimore, Miami hosting Cleveland, and Tennessee hosting Oakland.
