Matt Forte Named FedEx Ground Player of the Week

New York Jets running back Matt Forte was named the FedEx Ground Player of the Week for his 100 yard, three touchdown performance in Buffalo against the Bills.

This comes on the heels of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s AFC Offensive Player of the Week Award. After putting up 37 points in the victory over Buffalo, it is no surprise the Jets responsible are winning these weekly awards.

Because of this distinction, there will be a $2,000 donation made to the USO in Forte’s name.

FedEx names an Air and Ground Player of the Week after each week of the NFL season.

Following the Monday Night Football game through Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Eastern, fans can visit NFL.com/FedEx or tweet using #AirandGround and the nominees’ last name to cast their vote. FedEx and the NFL will announce the winners every Thursday afternoon.
