Brandon Marshall briefly left Thursday’s win against the Bills with an apparent knee injury. He did return to action to finish the game. Mike Florio reports Marshall is dealing with an MCL injury.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, and as noted during Sunday’s Football Night in America on NBC, Marshall emerged from the incident with an MCL injury. While the team believes Marshall will be ready to go next week, it’s not a lock that he’ll be ready to go when the team faces the Chiefs in Kansas City.
It does on paper seem like a good sign that Marshall was able to return to the game. Every now and then a player will talk his way back onto the field during a game, while later tests reveal an injury that really should have made the team shut him down.
For his part, Todd Bowles did not sound overly concerned about Marshall missing time when asked on Friday.
Brandon (Marshall) is fine. He has a sore knee. He got some treatment, but he’s walking around pretty good.
