Jets vs. Bengals Game Thread

The Jets kick off the 2016 regular season today.

Gang Green is home to face the Cincinnati Bengals. It is the second straight season the Jets start a season hosting an opponent from Ohio. This should be a much more difficult test than the Browns were a year ago, however. The Bengals have been one of the league's top regular season teams over the last five years. They are a talented opponent.

The Jets have won five straight season openers. Of course, they also have missed the Playoffs five straight seasons. The last time the Jets made the Playoffs was also the last time they lost the opener. Keep all of this in mind so that you don't overreact either way to the result of this first game, although I know the odds are against that.
