Sunday Night Football, week 1. The NFL is back! The season opening Sunday night matchup is a good one. Tonight we have a matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and the New England Patriots, two teams with Super Bowl aspirations. The Patriots travel to the deserts of Arizona missing their future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady and their future Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski. Backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will try to lead a diminished Patriots attack while throwing to the likes of Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and new acquisitions Chris Hogan and Martellus Bennett. Arizona will counter with quarterback Carson Palmer, coming off one of the best years of his career, winging it to a stellar trio of receivers in Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and John "Smoky" Brown. Arizona will also feature the multi-talented back David Johnson, who is sure to see a bunch of touches both running the ball and in the passing game. Both teams have excellent defenses to counter the explosive offenses presented in this premier matchup. This should be a great game to kickoff the 2016 Sunday Night Football slate.
Enjoy the game everybody. Enjoy rooting for the Patriots' demise. Discuss the game here. The usual rules apply. Do not ask for links to illegal broadcasts of games. Do not provide them either.
