On Monday the Jets got running back Khiry Robinson off the PUP list. On Tuesday, a much more consequential player returned to practice.

Wilkerson's work in practice was unsurprisingly limited.
Muhammad Wilkerson not doing team drills. No surprise there #Jets

No Mo Wilkerson in team periods to start. No surprise. Would make zero sense to rush him right in like that.

For his part, Wilkerson was happy to be back on the field.

Todd Bowles did not rule Wilkerson out of Thursday's preseason opener, but it still would be kind of a surprise to see him out there so soon. The big thing is getting him back on the practice field and ready for Week 1. With Sheldon Richardson suspended, the team needs him.
