We know David Harris and Erin Henderson are the starting inside linebackers for the Jets over first round pick Darron Lee. Today we got an indication that the rookie might be fourth on the depth chart.
Bruce Carter, not Darron Lee, opens at ILB in place of resting Davis Harris. #NYJ

No first team work for Darron Lee today. Henderson and Carter were the starters. Lee working with the backups still.

This isn't necessarily a big deal. I don't like to read a whole lot into these things at training camp because it is entirely possible the coaching staff is trying to send a message to one player or another.
I also would not be surprised to hear that Carter, who has some sort of proven reputation in the NFL, is starting camp ahead of the rookie. It is up to Lee to play himself into the lineup.
It sounds like Lee had a solid day of work.
Darron Lee stops Romar Morris on a run off right tackle and then slaps Romars helmet while on the ground almost starting a fight.

Darron Lee on a mission today. He's been VERY physical. #NYJ

Darron Lee pops Dominique Williams over the middle. A little payback for Williams getting Lee yesterday while scoring a touchdown.
