Jets Roster Cuts Live Updates

William Hauser-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets began their roster cuts on Sunday by releasing 11 players and putting Devin Smith on the PUP list to start the season. That brought their total number of players from 90 down to 78.

The team must trim the roster more by the end of the day. Teams are required to cut down to 75 players by 4:00 p.m. Eastern today. Three more players will have to go. The Jets could also move Breno Giacomini onto the PUP list to start the season as one of their moves, which would keep him out for at least the first six weeks of the regular season. We will see whether they actually do that.

To provide updates on this cutdown day, the GGN Twitter widget has been embedded below. It will refresh consistently bringing news of roster cuts along with other Jets developments. Thankfully, the widget will never be on the roster bubble.
