Jets Roster Analysis: Brandon Marshall Is the Go to Guy

Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

As we approach the 2016 season, we are going to profile the players on the roster. Today we look at Brandon Marshall.

Name: Brandon Marshall

Number: 15

Year With Jets: 2nd

Projected Role: Go to guy on offense

His 2015: After an injury plagued 2014 when his production went down, Marshall was energized by a trade to New York and a change of scenery. Marshall put up 109 catches for 1,502 yards, and a career high 14 touchdowns in the Jets' surprise 10 win season.

2016 will be a success if: Marshall continues to be a game-changing threat who opens things up for others from the attention he commands yet still manages to produce. I am not sure he is going to put up quite the same monster numbers, but with a deeper receiving group this season, the Jets really do not need him to replicate his 2015 stats. They do need him to continue to be a presence.

Odds of making the roster: Lock (>99%)
