The Bills let running back Karlos Williams go last weekend. The Jets had him in for a visit earlier in this week. The free agent running back made it clear today that he wants to join Gang Green.

Williams had 9 total touchdowns as a rookie for Buffalo a year ago and ran for 517 yards on 93 carries, a robust 5.6 yard average.
It was striking that the Bills would let a productive, talented, cheap, young player go for nothing. It was perhaps even more striking that nobody in the NFL would claim such a player when he was placed on waivers. Williams' weight was an issue for Buffalo, and he is staring at a four game substance abuse suspension.
Should the Jets bring him aboard? At this point, I am not sure any of us have the inside information necessary to say definitively one way or the other.
