Free agent running back Karlos Williams visited the Jets today.
I'm told 5 teams have shown interest in former Bills RB Karlos Williams, including the Jets, who he is visiting today as I reported earlier.

Source confirms that Jets had RB Karlos Williams in for a visit, as @SalSports reported. No signing imminent. #nyj

Jets were doing the old due diligence on Williams. Don’t get too excited. #nyj

Williams is extremely talented. He averaged 5.6 yards per carry as a rookie last season and scored 9 total touchdowns.
At the same time, the Bills cut him this weekend despite his ability and an extremely cheap contract. Furthermore, none of the other 31 teams were willing to claim that extremely cheap contract. Reports are the Bills were unhappy with his weight. Whether there is more happening is anybody's guess.
You cannot blame the Jets for taking a look. Even though the team has good backfield depth on paper, a cheap talent like Williams is something that should at least make a team perform due diligence.
Since Williams cleared waivers, the Jets or any other team now can sign him.
