As we approach the 2016 season, we are going to profile the players on the roster. Today we look at Romar Morris.
Name: Romar Morris
Number: 33
Year With Jets: 1st
Projected Role: Competing for backup running back spot
His 2015: Morris only had 10 carries in his final college season at North Carolina. The Jets went deep into their search for under the radar gems when they signed Morris as an undrafted free agent. Around a decade ago, the Steelers struck gold when they found a seldom used but speedy back out of North Carolina named Willie Parker. The Jets are hoping history repeats itself.
2016 will be a success if: Morris is a practice squader. Given the Jets' loaded backfield and the developmental work Morris is likely to need, this seems like the most realistic hope for him in 2016.
Odds of making the roster: Longshot (less than 25%)
