Jets Roster Countdown: Juston Burris Hopes to Provide Impact as a Rookie

Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

As we approach the 2016 season, we are going to profile the players on the roster. Today we look at Juston Burris.

Name: Juston Burris

Number: 38

Year With Jets: 1st

Projected Role: Fourth or fifth cornerback

His 2015: Burris finished up his college career by starting every game for NC State. PFF noted he had 31 completions against him and a 78 passer rating. The Jets grabbed him in the fourth round of the Draft.

2016 will be a success if: Burris doesn't look totally lost on the field. He is a candidate for the Marcus Williams role from a year ago. That would mean limited snaps against less skilled receivers. The hope is he can at least look like he belongs in the NFL if he sees those snaps. Then the team could start thinking about building his role bigger in future seasons.

Odds of making the roster: Lock (>99%)
