As we approach the 2016 season, we are going to profile the players on the roster. Today we look at Julian Howsare.
Name: Julian Howsare
Number: 43
Year With Jets: 2nd training camp
Projected Role: Competing for starting fullback job
His 2015: The Jets signed Howsare as an undrafted free agent out of Clarion. The prolific collegiate defender moved to fullback in an attempt to make the roster. He lost a camp competition to Tommy Bohanon and was released at the end of the preseason. He was signed to the practice squad, released in November, and re-signed to the practice squad later in November. The Jets brought him back to reprise his competition with Bohanon.
2016 will be a success if: Howsare wins the fullback job and plays effectively. There is an opening. He has had a year to become acclimated to the position, and Bohanon is not stellar competition.
Odds of making the roster: Unlikely (25-50%)
