His injury was never a great concern. There is still plenty of time between now and the regular season opener, and the expectation was that he would heal. Still, it is good to see that he is progressing. The Jets' backfield sure has been dealing with injuries.
Forte was limited. He took part in position drills but not in team drills. This is progress. The Jets seem unlikely to suit him up in Friday night's preseason game against Washington.There is no need to push things. The goal is Cincinnati Week 1 in September. This is a step toward making that a reality.
