NFL Network completed its annual Top 100 Players ranking. This is the sixth year the list has been presented. Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis is one of eleven players to have made the list all six years. Here are all of the players to have made every list.
Darrelle Revis
Tom Brady
Larry Fitzgerald
Aaron Rodgers
DeMarcus Ware
Adrian Peterson
Joe Thomas
Ben Roethlisberger
Ndamukong Suh
Clay Matthews
Drew Brees
Revis came in at 24th this year.
This list frequently has some puzzling results. Tim Tebow even made the top 100 once. I think rather than telling us the best players, it really tells us the most respected since NFL players vote on it. Revis had some years with injuries where he probably did not objectively belong on it. You could make a strong case he isn't really a top 24 player in the league right now. This is a product of the respect he commands. Last year he showed some signs he actually is human in what was still a very good year. Will teams try to attack him more? Will he still be on this list in a year? We'll have to wait and see.
