Ian Rapoport says the Jets are unlikely to reach an agreement on a contract with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick before training camp begins.
It doesn't appear there will be a deal between the #Jets and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick before the start of camp, I'm told. The standoff continues.

Mike Maccagnan said earlier in the offseason that training camp would be the deadline for a Fitzpatrick deal, although Todd Bowles later walked back those comments.
The Jets are set to begin preparing for their season. Will they go back to their training camp deadline? If not, how long will they be willing to wait? How long will Fitzpatrick wait? Will there be an unlikely eleventh hour deal out of the blue like the one struck with Muhammad Wilkerson? Will they make a move for a veteran?
Either way, it is difficult to fathom how the Jets are staring at starting camp with Geno Smith, Bryce Petty, and Christian Hackenberg as the quarterbacks on the roster.
