Jets Roster Analysis: Can Ryan Clady Stay Healthy and Produce?

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

As we approach the 2016 season, we are going to profile the players on the roster. Today we look at Ryan Clady

Name: Ryan Clady

Number: 78

Year With Jets: 1st

Projected Role: Starting left tackle

His 2015: Clady missed Denver's Super Bowl season after suffering a torn ACL in an offseason practice. After the year, the Broncos decided to go in a different direction at left tackle, signing Russell Okung. They subsequently dealt the four-time Pro Bowl tackle to the Jets with a seventh round pick in exchange for a fifth rounder.

2016 will be a success if: Clady starts all sixteen games and performs at a Pro Bowl level. This has the feel of a boom or bust move for the Jets. It probably is going to be either a huge success or a huge failure. Clady's track record on the field suggests he has the potential to be a big upgrade over the declining D'Brickashaw Ferguson. After missing 30 games over the last three years, however, he does not have the same degree of durability.

Odds of making the roster: Lock (>99%)
