Jets Roster Analysis: What Are Robby Anderson's Chances of Making the Team?

New, comments
Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

As we approach the 2016 season, we are going to profile the players on the roster. Today we look at Robby Anderson

Name: Robby Anderson

Number: 83

Year With Jets: 1st

Projected Role: Competing for a roster spot at wide receiver

His 2015: Anderson posted 70 catches and 7 touchdowns on a very solid Temple team. He did not get drafted, but he ended up signing as a free agent on a team whose coach shares his alma mater.

2016 will be a success if: Anderson finds a way to make the 53 man roster. A lot of the same themes we discussed the other day for Titus Davis are at play here. Anderson has some experience as a returner, but the stats are not pretty. His path to the roster likely hinges on him showing he can be a special teams ace on coverage units. You could say the same about a lot of players on the 90 man roster so nothing really sticks out here.

Odds of making the roster: Longshot (<25%)
